It was great to have Jesse Akister on the podcast to talk us through her experience as a coach and athlete and tell us more about the lessons she has learned since entering the fitness industry.
Like many Jesse got into coaching through her own fitness journey and went from being told by the doctor she needed to exercise more to avoid a niggling injury to representing her country Australia in a powerlifting competition.
In this episode, we spoke in-depth around learning how to listen to your body and looking at the bigger goal and outcome as opposed to just smashing yourself in the gym 5 days a week.
